What hosts ask about most.

PAYOUTHow and when do I get paid?

You receive 87.6% of the booking total: the total less a 10% service fee (minimum ISK 2,000) and 2.4% VAT. Payout happens the day after the event takes place, into your Icelandic bank account. Salabókun invoices you for the service fee and automatically issues a receipt to the guest in your name.

REQUESTSWhat happens if I don't answer a request?

You have 48 hours to accept or decline. If you don't respond in time the request lapses automatically and the hold on the guest's card is released. When you accept a request, other requests for the same day and block are declined automatically.

PRICINGHow do I price the blocks?

Each venue is rented in up to four blocks: morning, afternoon, evening and full day. You set an independent price per block and can add a weekend uplift. Full day and parts of a day exclude each other. All prices include VAT.

CALENDARWhat happens when I connect a calendar?

A connected calendar becomes the authoritative source for the venue's availability, and events there close the matching blocks automatically. If there is a conflict with a confirmed booking it enters a conflict state that you resolve manually; nothing is cancelled automatically. If the calendar disconnects you have 14 days to reconnect before it disconnects permanently.

CANCELLATIONWhat if I need to cancel myself?

If the host cancels, the guest receives a full refund regardless of the venue's policy. Choose your venue's policy carefully: flexible, moderate or strict.

REVIEWSWhen can I leave a review?

Reviews are two-sided and only open after a confirmed, completed event. Both you and the guest have 14 days to write a review, and they appear simultaneously once both are in or the window closes.

Which emails will you get?

Some notifications are essential to the booking. Three you can switch off in settings.
